Sunday Greetings!
Let's go! This is the first week of the 3rd marking period. Let's get off to a great start by arriving on time, completing all homework, meeting both academic and behavior goals, and living our Gator values. Stay focused and give your best effort in everything you do. Together, we can make this marking period a success!

No Headphones - X on Daily Report
Please note that students are expected to have working headphones, as they are a required school supply used daily. Computers are essential for accessing reading and math programs, and we cannot have the sound disrupting small group instruction taking place in the classroom. Without headphones, this creates a massive distraction to the overall learning experience and environment. If your child does not have this essential item, you will receive a note in your child's green folder by Friday, January 24.
Chronic Absences
Students with 8 or more absences at this point in the school year are considered chronically absent. As a reminder, students who miss more than 17 days for the entire year are classified as chronically absent, and attendance directly impacts our school’s full accreditation status. Full accreditation is vital for ensuring adequate funding, maintaining staffing levels, accessing high-quality instructional resources, and offering academic awards and recognitions at the end of the year. Please ensure your child is present daily to support their success and the success of our school.
No Cell Phone or Smart Watch Policy
As a reminder, students are not allowed to use cell phones or Smart Watches during the instructional day, per Henrico County Public Schools policy. These devices should remain in backpacks and turned off to avoid interruptions during learning. Unauthorized use will result in the device being confiscated.
Recess
Our goal is to get students outside for recess every day; however, due to snow and wet field conditions, we have been unable to go outside recently. While we understand the importance of outdoor play, student safety is our top priority. We will resume outdoor recess as soon as conditions improve to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
