Dance Team Families,
We are so excited for a BIG week of performances for our Greenwood dance teams! Our dancers have been working hard, and we cannot wait to see them bring their energy, excitement, and school spirit to these special events!
Wednesday, October 28 – Unity Day Pep Rally
The Troop (Wednesday Dance Team): Dancers should wear ALL PURPLE!
The Heat (Thursday Advanced Dance Team): Dancers should wear their Advanced Dance uniforms.
Performance Time: Our pep rally will begin around 8:30 AM, and both dance teams should finish their performances by approximately 8:45 AM.
Friday, October 30 – Trunk or Treat
Both dance teams will also perform at our Greenwood Trunk or Treat celebration!
Performance Time: 6:00 PM
Arrival Time: 5:50 PM
Meeting Location: Greenwood Blacktop
What to Wear: Halloween costumes! Please do NOT wear your Advanced Dance uniforms.
Parents, please set an alarm or reminder on your phone for 5:50 PM! We want every dancer to be part of the fun, and arriving on time will help our coaches get everyone organized and ready to perform.
Why We Perform
The purpose of these performances goes far beyond learning dance routines and performing in front of a crowd. We want our dancers to develop confidence, teamwork, responsibility, and the courage to step outside their comfort zones. These opportunities allow students to experience the excitement of performing, learn how to work together toward a common goal, and take pride in representing Greenwood Elementary School.
Most importantly, we want our dancers to HAVE FUN, create lasting memories, and experience the joy of being part of something bigger than themselves. Whether they are performing for their classmates or our Greenwood families, we want them to feel proud of their hard work and know that they belong to a team that supports and celebrates one another.
Thank you to our dance coach, Coach Robertson, for creating these wonderful opportunities and to our families for supporting our dancers! She is simply the best and a HOUSE COAT winner!
We cannot wait to see The Troop and The Heat bring the ENERGY this week! Let's go!
