We still have some spots available in our morning clubs!
Our clubs begin Tuesday, September 8, at 7:20 AM. Families participating in morning clubs are encouraged to drop off between 7:10–7:20 AM so students have plenty of time to get to their club location. If your child rides the school bus, please remind them to go directly to their morning club location when they arrive at school and not stop for breakfast before their club. Students may get breakfast after their morning club and bring it back to their classroom. Please note that milk is not permitted in classrooms.
Extracurricular Participation Expectations
We want our students to take advantage of the many extracurricular opportunities available at Greenwood while also understanding that participation comes with responsibility, commitment, and accountability. The following expectations help ensure these opportunities remain positive and successful experiences for everyone:
Morning Clubs: Students may be removed from a morning club after missing two club practices or opportunities. Students arriving after 7:25 AM will not be permitted to attend the morning club that day. Absences due to illness or other school-approved reasons will not count toward the two-missed-practice limit. Students are expected to know and be prepared to perform their routine before participating in a pep rally or other public performance. Students who are not adequately prepared may be asked to sit out of the performance to ensure the success of the entire team.
House Achievement: Students may be removed from an extracurricular opportunity after missing three House Achievement celebrations on Fridays.
Green Take-Home Folder/RCA App: Students may be removed from an extracurricular opportunity after receiving six or more X marks in the Green Take-Home Folder/RCA App during one marking period.
Competition Teams: Students participating on a competition team must maintain our academic expectations. Students who receive two or more F's on their report card may be removed from the competition team.
These expectations are designed to help students balance extracurricular participation with their commitments to learning, behavior, attendance, and being an active member of the Greenwood Gator community. Administration reserves the right to consider individual circumstances when applying these expectations.
