Please plan for your student to arrive at school by 7:40 AM. We begin unloading cars in our car drop-off area at 7:10 AM. Arriving on time gives your student time to get settled, connect with classmates, and participate in important morning routines, community-building activities, and learning experiences. We want every Gator to have a positive start to their day!

Please make sure your student brings their ID to school every day. We had many students arrive without their IDs today, which caused our breakfast process to take much longer than expected. Having an ID allows us to move students through breakfast and other school processes efficiently so they can be in their classrooms with their classmates for morning announcements and our social-emotional learning from 7:45–8:00 AM.

As a reminder, we do not process early dismissals after 1:00 PM. This allows us to ensure every child gets home safely and helps our dismissal process run smoothly. If there are any changes to your child’s transportation, please contact the main office directly.

Please do not rely on your child’s teacher to receive the message. Teachers are teaching throughout the day and may not have immediate access to their computers or ParentSquare. The main office must be notified directly of all transportation changes.

We are excited to host tryouts for several of our Greenwood performance groups next week! These groups provide our Gators with opportunities to build confidence, develop their talents, work as a team, and represent Greenwood throughout the school year. These groups continue throughout the entire school year, so this is your opportunity to join now!

Now that we are fully back in school, we will be conducting several different safety drills over the next week and a half. These drills are an important part of keeping our students and staff prepared and safe. Be on the lookout for more information from our Associate Principal, Ms. Eberhard.

Our teachers and/or administration will reach out by the end of the week if your child still needs headphones and/or a green take-home folder. These items are important tools that help students stay organized and engaged throughout the school year.
