This is our second year using student IDs at Greenwood, and we are prepared and ready to continue this important county initiative. Student IDs are more than an ID card — they are an important part of keeping our students safe and helping us know where students are throughout the school day.
IDs are used for:
Transportation — helping us know which bus students are riding
Lunch — connecting students to their cafeteria account
Library — helping us keep track of the books students check out
Our student IDs did not arrive before Open House, but there is no need to worry! Every student will receive their ID and lanyard on their first day of school.
Students should bring their ID to school every day. During the first week, teachers will teach students strategies for keeping track of their IDs throughout the day. We got this!
Students will be allowed to ride the bus without their ID on Day 1 while we get everyone settled into the routine.
If your child loses their ID, please contact their teacher as soon as possible so we can begin the replacement process. Please note that there is a fee for replacement IDs.
