points

We can't wait to start giving House Points to our students! House Points will be awarded for many different reasons throughout the year and provide a great way to recognize our students' achievements, teamwork, leadership, and positive contributions to our school community. Most importantly, House Points are about celebrating what students can accomplish together and building pride in their House.

How Do Students Earn House Points?

We have created a House Points Cheat Sheet that gives an overview of some of the ways students can earn points and who can award them. You'll see opportunities connected to teamwork, leadership, school spirit, service, and making Greenwood a better place.

But we don't want this list to stop with us! We would love to hear your ideas, too. If you have an idea for a meaningful way students could earn House Points as a team, please share it with us. We are building this system together, and some of your ideas may become part of our House Point opportunities throughout the year!

When One Gator Earns a Point, We ALL Celebrate!
When a student earns a House Point, we want the entire classroom to celebrate with them. The class will respond by saying the student's House name together. We truly believe this simple tradition reinforces the idea that we rise by lifting others. When one student succeeds, we all celebrate!

Turn Your Points Into Experiences!
Students will also be able to use their House Points to purchase items from our RCA Store before each of our five Unity Day pep rallies. Students will be able to purchase VIP seating, pep rally game participation, spirit wear items, and so much more.

The dates when the RCA Store will be open are listed on our Master Calendar of Events, so families can plan ahead. Items will sell out quickly, so we encourage families to be ready to make their purchases as soon as the store opens!

When students use their points to purchase items that support other Houses, it truly leans into our 5 Houses, 1 Family mission. We want our students to understand that while we compete as Houses, we are always stronger when we support one another.

House Points aren't just about earning rewards. They are about building community, celebrating others, recognizing leadership, and creating a culture where every Gator has a reason to cheer for one another.
