During lunch, our goal is to create a safe, calm, and positive environment where students can enjoy their meal and connect with friends.

  • Allergies:

Students with identified food allergies will sit at the front of the cafeteria tables. Teachers will notify lunch monitors and administrators of students with allergies so we can provide the appropriate level of supervision and keep everyone safe.

  • Entering the Cafeteria:

The first two classes will line up while the remaining classes wait at their designated tables until it is their turn.

All students must be wearing their lanyard.

  • Stay in Your Seat:

Students should remain seated throughout lunch. Students may not get up to visit other tables or move around the cafeteria.

  • Trash:

Students will throw away their trash

    only when they are dismissed

. Please keep trash and food at your table until dismissal.

  • Bathroom:

Students may not use the bathroom during lunch unless it is an emergency.

  • House Values:

Our House Values apply everywhere—including the cafeteria! Students are expected to demonstrate respect, responsibility, kindness, and all of our Greenwood Gator expectations during lunch.

  • Parents:

Parents will not be permitted to join students in the cafeteria during the first week of school. Teachers will be eating with their classes and using this time to teach and reinforce lunchroom expectations.

  • Lunch Line:

We anticipate longer wait times in the lunch line as our cafeteria manager will now need to select each item on every student's tray. We appreciate everyone's patience as we adjust to this new process.

  • Meals & Snacks:

Each student may purchase one meal and one snack

. Snacks may not be shared. Students purchasing only a snack must go to the

    end of the lunch line

    .

  • Free Meals:

    Breakfast and lunch are

free for all students at Greenwood!

Thank you for helping us make the cafeteria a safe, respectful, and positive place for everyone. Our House Values don't stop at the classroom door—they come with us everywhere we go!
