We are excited for our next episode of Spilling the Tea on Thursday, August 6 at 9:00 AM! During this virtual conversation, we will reflect on the results and feedback from the 2025 Henrico County Public Schools Parent Survey and discuss how we can continue growing together as a Greenwood community.
At Greenwood, we are not here to be average. We are not here to simply follow the status quo. We are committed to building a reputation based on results, being relentless in our pursuit of student growth, and ensuring every decision we make helps every Gator reach their full potential. The feedback from our families helps us continue improving, celebrating our successes, and identifying opportunities to grow stronger together. Families shared valuable insights about strengthening communication, ensuring every student feels supported and connected, providing meaningful academic supports, expanding access to programs and opportunities, and continuing to improve the overall student experience at Greenwood.
During this episode, we will share examples of our master schedule, discuss important beginning-of-year procedures including the first day of school, transportation, dress code, student ID cards, and more. We will also discuss our continued focus on digital wellness, including our efforts to create healthier technology habits and reduce screen time during the school day. Additionally, I will share the vision for our new Principal Advisory, which will provide opportunities for students, families, and staff to share feedback and help shape the future of Greenwood. Our meetings will take place at 8 AM on October 29, 2026, January 26, 2027, and April 6, 2027.
We will also answer questions submitted in advance through our Google Form and provide insight into the plans, systems, and supports we have in place for the upcoming school year. Most importantly, we will share ways that every family can partner with us as we continue creating a school culture where excellence is expected, relationships matter, and every student is known, valued, supported, and loved.
We hope you can join us for this important conversation. Your voice matters, and together we will continue to make Greenwood the best place for every Gator to learn and grow!
