The wait is over! This year, Greenwood Elementary proudly presents CAPTAIN—an original musical that reimagines the untold story before Peter Pan, Captain Hook, and Neverland became legends. July 16 — Spilling the Tea with Mr. Stein
Join us for this month's edition of Spilling the Tea with Mr. Stein at 9 AM virtually! We'll discuss our Preschool and Kindergarten staggered start, provide updates on this year's school play, share summer campus projects, offer tips to help families prepare for the first day of school, and highlight several exciting initiatives for the new year.

Help Us Build Our House Store
As we plan for next year, we are looking for families that would like to contribute towards our Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. We will use these items to reward our students for the house points they earn throughout the year.
Items include snacks for students to earn as rewards- chips, pretzels, popsicles to hand out for meeting behavior goals.
Wishlist items for our House Store that students can purchase with their house coins.
Thursday, July 23 - School Theme Logo Challenge
Students and families are invited to submit their original logo designs by July 23.
Friday, August 14 - GatorFest: 5th Grade Leadership Camp
Our administrative team is excited to welcome our incoming fifth graders to GatorFest on Friday, August 14, from 9:00–11:00 AM. This special event will help students build relationships, develop leadership skills, learn about their important role as campus leaders, and kick off an incredible final year at Greenwood.
Friday, August 14 - Student Leadership Summit
We are excited to welcome our Head of House and Spirit Captains to our Student Leadership Summit on Friday, August 14, from 11:15 AM–12:15 PM in the Greenwood Library. During the summit, we will discuss their leadership roles, create videos for the first week of school announcements, plan ways to build school spirit, and prepare for a great start to the school year. Parents are invited to join us at 12:30 PM in the library for a brief meeting to review the leadership expectations and learn how we can work together to support our student leaders. If you are unable to attend, please let us know.
Save the Date — Open House - Thursday, August 20
We are excited to welcome families back to Greenwood for Open House on Thursday, August 20, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM. Students and families will have the opportunity to meet their teachers, visit classrooms, drop off school supplies, and begin building connections for an incredible school year.
