LAMPS Schedule
Academic Focus at Greenwood
As we enter December, our instructional teams are reviewing student progress, strengthening lesson plans, and refining small-group instruction to meet the needs of every learner. We remain deeply committed to rigorous, relevant lessons that challenge students, build critical thinking, and support strong academic outcomes. Families can continue to support learning at home by encouraging reading for 20 minutes each night, practicing math facts, and talking with their child about their Glow Report reflections.
RCA Store Opens - Sunday, December 7 - Action Needed
The RCA Spirit Store will open for House Tatonka on December 7. Students can use their house coins to purchase spirit items for their Unity Day celebration! The store will close on Wednesday, December 17. We still need help purchasing items for House Tatonka: December 19, 2025
Tatonka Chant Challenge

Monday, December 1 - December Spirit Night at California Pizza Kitchen!

Tuesday, December 2 - Special Education Appreciation Day
We are excited to celebrate our incredible case managers and instructional assistants! If your child works with one of these amazing team members, we would love your help in sending a note of appreciation to brighten their day.
Tuesday, December 2 - Hungary Creek Middle School Visits
We are excited to welcome HCMS as they meet with our 5th graders to discuss course options for 6th grade and highlight some of the exciting experiences ahead. This visit helps our students feel confident, informed, and prepared as they take their next big step into middle school.
Friday, December 5 – Gator Bash (K–2nd)
Our K–2 students will kick off the morning with a dance party from 7:20–7:45 AM in the gym. Starting the day with movement and joy helps students build community, boost energy, and set a positive tone for learning.
Friday, December 5 - Spilling the Tea with Mr. Stein @ 9 AM
This month’s conversation will cover academic data, reading and math intervention progress, safety updates, results from our administrative team survey, upcoming playground enhancements, discipline and attendance data, mid-year celebrations and goals, and a staffing update. We will also take time to answer questions from families.

Thank you for reviewing your child’s self-assessment and completing the parent section by December 19. Your reflection plays an essential role in helping students understand their strengths and take ownership of their growth.
Monday, December 15 - Bill of Rights Day
On December 15, we will celebrate Bill of Rights Day by teaching students about the freedoms and protections that shape our country. We are proud to honor our nation and believe it is essential for our students to understand the important rights outlined in our Constitution. #USAProud
Thursday, December 18 – House Advisory Committee Meeting
Our House Advisory Committee will meet after school until 3:30 PM to pack and deliver all spirit-store items. Please send a note to your child’s teacher if your child will be staying.
Thursday, December 18 – Tacky Light Tour
We’re thrilled to host our 3rd annual Tacky Light Tour! A group of randomly selected students from each classroom will enjoy a bus ride through the community to view holiday lights, followed by hot cocoa and gifts—a tradition filled with warmth, joy, and connection.

December 22 – 31 – Schools Closed for Winter Break
School of Pop
Our actors are continuing to build and strengthen their theater skills. We look forward to handing out scripts when our Gators return in January after winter break. Right now, we’re focused on helping students step outside their comfort zones so they feel confident and ready when it’s time to begin working with their scripts.
