Parking
Please allow extra time for parking as we have 500+ attendees registered to attend. Our staff will be outside assisting with parking, and we appreciate your patience. Please note that our designated handicap parking spaces are limited. We’ve also built a 30-minute window between lunches to allow parents time to exit campus and open spots for the next grade levels.

Entrance
Parents may enter the building through the main entrance or the gym side entrance. All guests will need to walk through our security scanners, as safety will always remain our top priority.

Food
Families who signed up in advance will be able to enter our cafeteria line. If you did not sign up, please bring a lunch, as we are not able to provide meals for all guests. Students will receive the luncheon meal as usual; however, families may bring lunch for themselves and their child. Please note that all food and drinks sent in for your grade level will be distributed evenly among the group. This helps ensure every child receives a fair portion of what was donated.

Lunch Times
10:00–10:30: 1st and 5th Grade
11:15–11:45: PK, Kindergarten, and 4th Grade
12:30–1:00 PM: 2nd and 3rd Grade

Dismissal
If you plan to take your child home after Friendsgiving, you must notify your child’s teacher on Monday, November 24 so we can plan accordingly. Your child will need to bring their belongings from the classroom to the luncheon, as parents will not be permitted to return to classrooms. Students leaving early must be checked out directly from the luncheon. Please understand that early dismissal may take a few extra minutes due to the high number of families attending.

The Purpose
Our Friendsgiving Luncheon is a special opportunity for our school family to come together, share a meal, and celebrate the strong community that makes Greenwood so special. It gives our students the chance to feel loved, supported, and connected as we head into the holiday season.

Code of Conduct
As a reminder, all families are expected to follow the code of conduct while on campus. Failure to do so will result in removal from the event and a possible ban from our campus for the remainder of the year.

FAQs
Can siblings or additional family members attend if they are not students at Greenwood?
Yes, siblings and additional family members may attend; however, they must have been preregistered for the event.

Where should families wait if they arrive early for their child’s lunch time?
If you signed up to help with setting up the gym or cafeteria, please enter through the main entrance so we can check you in. All other guests will be allowed into the building 10 minutes prior to the students arriving. We plan for students in the same class to sit together, though we do anticipate some overflow seating as needed.

Are parents allowed to sit with their child’s class, or will there be designated parent seating?
Parents are welcome to sit with their child’s class for this special event. We kindly ask all families to follow the Code of Conduct while on campus. Please refrain from watching videos, scrolling social media, or displaying content on your phone during the luncheon.

If a parent has multiple children in different grade levels, can they attend more than one lunch period?
Yes, families with multiple children may attend more than one lunch period. Because we will be clearing out the cafeteria between luncheons to prepare for the next group, we kindly ask that parents who are staying for multiple sessions assist with the quick takedown and setup. We are excited to have you join us for each celebration!
