Greenwood Families
We’re excited to welcome you to Greenwood Elementary’s annual Friendsgiving celebration, a special lunch event where students and families come together to share a meal and connect with our school community.
Event Details
Friendsgiving will be held during your child’s lunch period on Gratos Unity Day, Tuesday, November 25th. We encourage everyone to wear green to celebrate unity and gratitude.
To help with seating and safety, advance sign-up is required via the grade-level SignUpGenius link below. Each classroom will have 48 seats, with 23 reserved for students.
The link also includes the opportunity to sign up to volunteer or donate items such as decorations, food (snacks), drinks, utensils, and desserts.
All donated items must be labeled with your child’s name and grade and delivered by Friday, November 21 at 2 PM.
Meal Options
Purchased at School - Guests may purchase a Thanksgiving meal from the cafeteria only if signed up in advance and if funds are preloaded to your child’s lunch account.
No cash, check, or card payments will be accepted at the event. Snacks will NOT be available for purchase.
Bring Your Own - You’re also welcome to bring lunch from home or an outside vendor (recommended as we anticipate longer cafeteria lines).
Room Parents are invited to:
Share sign-up links with their classes
Help organize volunteers for set-up before the lunch period
Encourage donations of items such as decorations, food (snacks), drinks, utensils, and desserts.

Reminders
Please allow extra time for parking.
Younger siblings are welcome, but if a baby becomes upset, please step out briefly to help maintain a calm environment.
If you plan to check your child out after lunch, notify the teacher by Monday, November 24 at 2:00 PM. Students will bring their backpacks to lunch and can be signed out directly from the cafeteria or gym.
