Greenwood Families,
We are looking forward to seeing all of our Gators on Wednesday, November 5, as we enter Week 2 of Quarter 2. Thank you for taking the time to read the updates shared by teachers each Friday and our administrative team on Sundays. We hope you feel informed, connected, supported, engaged, and confident in all that is happening at Greenwood.
As we head into this extended weekend, we kindly ask families to make sure they have three important apps installed on their phones: ParentSquare for school communication, the RCA App for house points and student infractions, and PowerSchool for grades and attendance. These platforms help you stay connected and up to date with your child’s progress and school events. If you need assistance downloading or accessing any of these apps, please reach out to us. Together, we can make sure every family has the tools needed to stay informed and involved.
Day 1 - 5 Schedule (1st - 5th Grade)
Q2 Morning Clubs
We are excited for our next round of clubs starting on Wednesday, November 5. Please note that students will need their Student ID and lanyard to enter the club, as we will begin scanning students in for attendance. This is an added safety measure to help us ensure all students are accounted for daily.
Step Team Announcement
The Greenwood Stomp is excited to announce that all students who attended the tryouts will be part of the team until further notice. Beginning in the third quarter, the team will start forming the most competitive group possible in preparation for an upcoming showcase performance.
Greenwood Keva Plank Tournament
This week, students will be competing in a Keva Plank Tournament during lunch! Be on the lookout for photos and videos of the fun. This event was rescheduled due to our school hosting many guests from across the region who visited our classrooms last week.
Annual Canned Food Drive
To support families in need within our Greenwood community and beyond, we will be hosting our annual canned food drive from November 5 - 14! Students may bring donations to their classroom teacher. The class with the most donations will earn their teacher the title of Turkey King or Queen for the 2025–26 school year! While all non-perishable, non-expired food items are welcome, we are especially requesting: hearty soups, pasta, peanut butter, pasta sauce (plastic jar or can), Jiffy Mix, and cereal.

Items Needed for Greenwood
We are still in need of support to complete our Amazon wish list for items our students will use during upcoming pep rallies.
