This is a new process to assure we have all the student and parent information for our club facilitators. Club sign ups will close Monday, November 3 at 8 PM. All questions about the sign up can be directed to our innovative learning coach, Mrs. Bishop mfbishop@henrico.k12.va.us.
Teachers on Tour
We’re honored to be the first school in Henrico County to host such a large and diverse group of visiting teachers, coaches, and administrators this week! The purpose of Teachers on Tour is for educators from across the county to observe and learn innovative approaches to instructional design, delivery, and assessment. While our social media often showcases the exciting climate and culture at Greenwood, we want to reaffirm that our two top priorities remain safety and instruction. The fact that hundreds of educators visit Greenwood each year to learn from our incredible teachers is a true testament to the excellence happening in our classrooms every day.
Chronic Absent Students
The chart below shows the number of students who are chronically absent as of the first marking period. Our youngest grades remain our biggest concern. Attendance impacts academic growth, social skills, routines, confidence, and long-term success. Every absence—whether sick, vacation, or personal—affects learning and our school’s accreditation. Please make every effort to arrive before 7:40 AM daily. Our goal is to cut chronic absences by 50% in Quarter 2. Together, we can make it happen!
