Arrival
Morning drop-off begins at 7:10 AM in both car loops. If your child needs help unbuckling or opening the car door, please park and walk them to the front entrance. All PK students/families must park and walk their child to our PK entrance by the Gator Gardens. To keep traffic moving safely and efficiently—over 200 cars unload each morning—parents may not get out of their cars in the drop-off loop. This is very important.
If your child missed Open House and needs to bring school supplies on the first day, we highly recommend arriving between 7:05–7:10 AM to park and walk them to the front entrance. Please remember that parents are not allowed into classrooms during morning arrival. We will have plenty of staff on hand to help students carry their supplies to their classrooms.
Bus information is available in the Parent Portal. We appreciate your patience with our drivers, especially on the first day. Riding the bus is a great way to avoid long car line waits.
Dismissal
Car pick-up is divided into two locations:
PK–1st graders and their older siblings will be picked up near Gator Gardens in the middle loop.
2nd–5th graders without younger siblings in PK–1st will be picked up on the gym side.
Please keep your car pick-up tag visible to help us maintain a safe and efficient process
If your child’s transportation plans change, you must notify both Mrs. Jae (jtsjones@henrico.k12.va.us) and Mrs. Christina (cmmedico@henrico.k12.va.us) in the main office. Please do not send changes only to the teacher, as they may not see them until after school. Transportation changes will not be accepted after 1:00 PM, and early dismissals are not allowed after 1:40 PM to ensure a safe dismissal for all students.
