We’re excited to announce our list of extracurricular clubs for the first marking period! These clubs meet from 7:20 – 7:45 AM and are a great way for students to explore new interests, build skills, and start the day with energy and excitement.

Important Dates

August 20 – Virtual Meeting: What Are Clubs? @ 6 PM

August 24 – Club Sign-Ups Open @ 6 PM — Many clubs will fill up by 6:05 PM, so don’t wait!

August 25 & 26 – Tryouts for Cheerleading (gym) and Advanced Drumline (music room)

August 27 & 28 – Tryouts for The Heat / Advanced Dance (gym) and Tubanos (music room)

September 2 – First Day of Clubs!

Morning Club Descriptions 

Monday

Cheerleading: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Jacobs & Mrs. Johnson
Bring energy and school spirit to Greenwood with our Cheerleading Club! Learn cheers, chants, and simple routines while training with experienced coaches. Perform at school events like pep rallies, celebrations, and special assemblies to fire up the crowd.

Tech Squad: 4th - 5th Grade with Mrs. Bishop
Work alongside Ms. Bishop, our Innovative Learning Coach, to help keep Greenwood’s technology running smoothly. Assist with device checkout, deliveries, inventory, and setup. This is the perfect club for responsible, tech-savvy Gators who want to make a difference behind the scenes.

Advanced Drumline: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Stein
Take your drumming to the next level as you perform at school-wide events and off-campus showcases. This high-energy, marching-style team requires tryouts and prior drumming experience. Members will focus on precision, performance, and teamwork.

Directed Drawing: 2nd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Foster
Start your day with creativity! Follow step-by-step drawing instructions to create exciting pictures while building confidence, listening skills, and artistic expression. No experience needed—just bring your imagination and get ready to draw!

Keva Planks: 4th - 5th Grade with Mrs. Walker
Collaborate with peers to conquer weekly building challenges in preparation for a county-wide tournament. Test your creativity, teamwork, and engineering skills in this engaging and hands-on club.

Safety Patrols: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Anderson
Take on leadership responsibilities and help keep our school community safe. Assist with bus and hallway duties, greet students in the morning, and model Gator pride for all.

WWE: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Woodson and Mrs. Coward
Step into the fun and drama of the wrestling world! Learn about famous wrestlers, their signature moves, and entrance songs. Enjoy themed games, trivia, and discussions with fellow WWE fans.

Soccer: 2nd - 3rd Grade with Mr. Graham
Improve your dribbling, passing, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. Compete for the 804 Soccer Cup and enjoy playing the world’s most popular sport with friends.

Tuesday

Futsal: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Graham
Join our fast-paced futsal club to sharpen your soccer skills on the court! Practice teamwork, agility, and precision with experienced coaches while enjoying small-sided games that build quick thinking and ball control.

Board Games: 1st - 3rd Grade with Ms. Gonzalez
Let’s have fun while building our literacy skills! We’ll play “Pop for Sight Words” to expand vocabulary and improve fluency, along with other games like sight word bingo. Learning has never been so entertaining!

Bucket Drumline: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Stein
Feel the rhythm and bring the energy with Greenwood’s Drumline! Perform at school events and parades while learning percussion skills, teamwork, and the art of keeping a crowd engaged.

Gators on the Go: 4th - 5th Grade with Mrs. Jacobs & Mrs. Johnson
Get your heart pumping on the track as you train for the 1 Mile Run! This club is perfect for runners who want to build endurance, set personal goals, and start the day with energy and enthusiasm.

Wednesday 

The Troop: 1st - 5th Grade with Mr. Stein, Mrs. Robertson, and Mrs. Jacobs
Step into the spotlight with the Greenwood Dance Team, led by a professional from Rigby’s Jig Ballroom Dance Studio. Dancers will perform at school events, showcasing their talent, energy, and school spirit. Members will also learn performance tips, teamwork skills, and fun choreography from a variety of dance styles.

Tubanos: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Murphy
Learn drum patterns and rhythms on Tubano drums while building your musical skills. Perform in front of a large audience at Unity Day and discover the joy of making music together.

All About Animals: 1st - 3rd Grade with Mrs. Barlett
Do you love animals? Each week, this club will explore a different animal, learning about its habitat, diet, and unique features. We’ll share fun facts, discuss ways to help animals in our world, and create drawings or crafts inspired by our weekly topic.

Cricut: 3rd - 4th Grade with Mrs. Coward and Mrs. Hobbs
Join us as we explore new ways to create using our Cricuts and vinyl! Past projects have included shirts, signs, cups, keychains, and jewelry. This club is perfect for students who love hands-on crafting and turning ideas into personalized creations.

Take on leadership responsibilities and help keep our school community safe. Assist with bus and hallway duties, greet students each morning, and model Gator pride for your peers.

Gamers: 2nd - 3rd Grade with Mr. Miles
Level up your mornings in the Gamers Club! Compete in Mario Kart tournaments on big-screen TVs, challenge friends in multiplayer games, and enjoy exciting gaming fun with friends while learning about teamwork and strategy.

Soccer: 4th - 5th Grade with Mr. Graham
Improve your dribbling, passing, and teamwork on the field in a fun and competitive environment. Train for the 804 Soccer Cup, learn game strategies, and enjoy playing the world’s most popular sport.

Thursday 

Basketball Team: 2nd - 5th Grade with Mr. Henderson and Mr. Boykin
Work on your shooting, passing, and dribbling in a competitive basketball environment. All skill levels are welcome, with opportunities to scrimmage against our gators. Players will also focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and game strategy to elevate their skills on and off the court.

ELL Homework Help: 2nd - 5th Grade with Ms. Pisciotta
Are you still learning English? Do you find homework a struggle? Sign up for our ELL Morning Club for extra homework help, language support, and a chance to practice speaking and listening skills in a welcoming environment.

Advanced Dance: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mr. Stein and Mrs. Robertson
Audition to join this elite dance team that focuses on advanced choreography and small group enrichment. Students perform at community events, school assemblies, and competitions. Members will also receive personalized coaching from Rigby’s Jig Ballroom Studio to refine their technique and stage presence.

Digital Basics: 1st - 3rd Grade with Mrs. Earl
Build your technology confidence as you learn basic computer skills, explore educational apps, and practice safe internet habits. This club is perfect for young learners ready to become confident and creative digital citizens.

Cricut: 5th Grade with Mrs. Coward and Mrs. Hobbs

Gators on the Go: 1st - 3rd Grade with Mrs. Jacobs & Mrs. Johnson
Get your heart pumping on the track as you train for the Warrior 1 Mile Run and the Color Run! Members will build endurance, set personal goals, and enjoy fun fitness activities that start the day with energy and enthusiasm.

Friday

Spirit Captains: 4th - 5th Grade with Ms. Crosby, Ms. Gonzalez, and Mr. Woodson
A select group of students chosen as Spirit Captains will meet with their leaders to discuss upcoming events. They will enhance their leadership skills by planning morning meetings, organizing pep rallies, creating spirit day themes, and helping welcome guests and new students to Greenwood.

Breakfast Club: K - 5th Grade with Mr. Stein and Mrs. Bishop
This special group of students will enjoy a delicious breakfast while celebrating their weekly attendance success. Members will also participate in fun conversation starters, celebrate classmates’ milestones, and occasionally enjoy surprise treats or activities to make the morning extra special.

Recycling Team: 3rd - 5th Grade with Mrs. Waters
Come help collect our school’s recycling every Friday morning! We will also learn more about conservation in our community and explore ways to help Greenwood become even greener. Students will share tips during announcements, design recycling reminders for classrooms, and brainstorm new eco-friendly initiatives for our school.

Head of House: 4th - 5th Grade with Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Jacobs, and Mrs. Earl
Our 15 Heads of House will develop their durable skills throughout the year in their weekly meetings. They will plan special events, create topics for morning meetings, lead house challenges, organize service projects, and represent Greenwood at schoolwide assemblies.
