As we reflect on many awesome events and activities our students participated in during the 2021 school year, by far one of the best was when our first graders and members of the Greenwood Dance Team had the opportunity to greet and perform for the residents of the Chestnut Grove Retirement Community (Woodman Road) in December. Our students and staff were so moved by the show of gratitude and appreciation that we thought it only fitting to continue to foster a partnership with the residents. Part of the Gator experience is to exemplify the character traits associated with our 5 Houses, on a daily basis: optimistic, trustworthy, respectful, accountable and grateful. In addition to teaching these character traits, and through our partnership with Chestnut Grove, our students will have the opportunity to learn about community service and engagement by showing their compassion through action. Please be on the lookout for future communication from our school on ways we can continue to support these residents and show them love, in true Greenwood fashion.
